Yahoo Girls Tech Day

On Tuesday, September 21, 2010 from 4pm – 6pm the Yahoo Employee Foundation Committee (YEF) volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club and worked with our young women on a Women in Technology mentoring project. The main goal was to discuss opportunities for young women in the Tech World. This 2010 Women in Tech event taught our young women how to start and run their own businesses. They learned about production, budgeting, and the importance of team work. The presenters also spoke about the many diverse opportunities women have in the field of technology and also shared their own life stories. This all proved to be very inspiring to our members!
