Night at the Movies!

This year Warner Bros generously donated Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Blu Ray and DVDs to our Club. Our annual DVD and popcorn set are sent to donors from the past year, encouraging them to have a "Night at the Movies" on us! Below is also a letter to update donors with successes of our Club:

We are thrilled that the Club can serve as a valuable resource for families in our community. We are also proud to say that we have opened two additional Boys & Girls Club programs at local middle schools bringing our total to 14 locations that serve over 1,100 youth daily. However, as more families turn to the Club for help during these difficult times, our existing resources cannot meet the current demand.

Our mission is "To inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens” by offering a variety of enrichment programs focusing on areas such as Education, the Arts,Recreation and Fitness, and Technology. In fact, the Boys and Girls Club of Burbank and the Greater East Valley sponsors the only Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs for youth in this community.

Recently, six members from our Club competed at the National Boys and Girls Club "Talent Search” and won coming in First Place among 1,200 participants. Another Club member, Sylvia, was just accepted into the acclaimed Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. These are just a few examples of the positive impact that the Club has on its members. In order to continue to offer these enriching programs and services and, most importantly, to sustain our pledge that "no child is turned away because of a family’s inability to pay the membership” – we need your help now more than ever!

We are sending you this DVD so that you can have a movie night at home with your family and friends. We hope that as you enjoy the movie that you will consider making a difference in the life of a child by making a donation to the Club. Please join us by investing in today’s youth and in the future of our community.

Thank you in advance for your support!

The Boys and Girls Club would like to thank Warner Bros and LAgraphico for their generous donations.
