Is making a difference in your community important to you? If so, Torch Club wants you! With activities such as peer-mentoring programs, and food and clothing drives, Torch Club helps make communities a better place to live! This small-group leadership development program, sponsored by Staples, is targeted to youth ages 11 to 13. Within some 1300 Torch Clubs across the country, members elect officers and plan and implement their own activities and community service projects!

* 11/17/11: Torch Club members begin a Supply Drive for The Burbank Animal Shelter!!!!!

* 12/1/10: Torch Club members attended the City of Burbank Tree lighting event and helped represent our club! We also formed part of the Burbank Christmas Celebration in which Torch Club members made sure the entire city knew about our Holiday Blanket Drive!

* Help keep someone warm this holiday season! The Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley’s Torch Club is asking for your help. Bring in new or used blankets NOW through December 22, 2010! And help bring warmth to those in need.
*Torch Club is now trying to help people in need once again. This time we are doing a clothing drive! All donations will be given to the Los Angeles Mission Homeless Shelter! Bring our donations to our main club facility by Feb 19, 2010

* Torch Club was able to get our local Starbucks to partner up with us and donate snacks to our main club! Thank You Starbucks for all your Support!!!

* Help the Torch Club keep someone warm this winter! The Torch Club of Boys & Girls Club of Burbank and Greater East Valley, is asking anyone to donate new blankets to help our cause. Donated blankets will be taken to homeless shelters and donated personally to the homeless on the streets. Please help us make a difference in someone's life!! Donations due by DECEMBER 16, 2009

* Torch Club helps out our Club! Torch Club members are now on the homework move. Every Tuesday and Wednesday they will be helping our young ones with their homework in the learning center.. Check out some pics in our gallery! 10/7/09

*Torch Club members are currently making sandwiches for the homeless twice a week! They've been making a variety of sandwiches, from ham and cheese to peanut butter and jelly. They enjoy helping those in need and will continue to do so until there is no more bread left in the world. Help feed someone in need by bringing in sandwich supplies such as; peanut butter, jelly, cheese, ham, etc. 10/5/09
